U Care Fund 2009 In response to the economic downturn where our Union Members are taking a reduced pay package due to shorter work week, temporary lay-off and / or pay cut, the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) has introduced a $6.5 million U Care Immediate Assistance Programme. The objective of this programme is to provide immediate financial relief, ranging from $100 to $300, to our affected members. At least 50% of the pay out amount will come in the form of NTUC FairPrice vouchers. And 10% will be co-paid by the Chemical Industries Employees’ Union (CIEU).
